Field Service App

Boiler Specialists Inc., a commercial HVAC service provider, needed a modern solution to replace their paper-based field service process and streamline work order management. I led the development of a custom technician-facing mobile app and a companion web-based back-office system. Together, the tools allowed dispatchers to assign work orders, field techs to document service visits in real-time, and administrative teams to manage billing and recordkeeping efficiently—all integrated with Sage 1000 Contractor.
The solution was designed to fit into their existing workflows while upgrading their efficiency, compliance, and data visibility. Field techs could upload notes, photos, and task completions from their mobile devices, while the web dashboard allowed office staff to track jobs and generate invoices without manual double entry. This project replaced cumbersome legacy systems and helped Boiler Specialists modernize their field-to-office communication without requiring a full overhaul of their core business software.
